2025 Jeep Gladiator
The 2025 Jeep Gladiator remains the only convertible pickup truck on the market. This midsize truck blends the off-road heritage of the Wrangler with practical hauling capabilities. It includes removable doors, a fold-down windshield, and a high-grade steel pickup bed.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The base Sport trim has standard 17-inch steel wheels with 32-inch all-season tires and a three-position tailgate. The Nighthawk trim adds 20-inch black wheels and all-terrain tires, while the Sport S includes 17-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded Gorilla Glass windshield. The Willys trim features LED headlights, fog lights, and rock rails paired with 32-inch mud-terrain tires. The Mojave trim stands out with its desert-rated capability, featuring FOX shocks, a 1-inch front suspension lift, and specialized 17-by-7.5-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires. The Rubicon emphasizes off-road performance with 33-inch Falken all-terrain tires and an electronic sway bar disconnect system. The High Tide is a Florida-exclusive special edition, while the Rubicon X and Mojave X round out the range with additional premium features.
Engine (Power)
The 2025 Jeep Gladiator has a 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar engine, delivering 285 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque at 4400 rpm. All models now feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, as the manual option is no longer available. Fuel economy ratings stand at 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg combined.
Performance
The Gladiator accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 97 mph. When properly equipped with the Max Tow package, it can tow up to 7,700 pounds, while the standard towing capacity is 4,000 pounds. Payload capacity ranges from 950 to 1,725 pounds, depending on trim level. Off-road capabilities include 10 inches of ground clearance and the ability to ford through water up to 30 inches deep.
Interior
A 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is the centerpiece of the interior technology package. The cabin includes a waterproof push-button start, and higher trims offer heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The interior features supportive and mildly bolstered seats with two complete sets of LATCH connectors for child safety seats. The Gladiator provides comfortable space with seating for five passengers and 38.3 inches of rear legroom. Storage options are limited, with a small glovebox and center console. The cargo area offers 35.5 cubic feet of space, and the 5-foot bed can extend to 6.5 feet with the tailgate down. An eight-speaker stereo system comes standard, and multiple roof configurations, including soft top and three-piece hardtop options, allow for open-air driving.
Safety Features
The Gladiator includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, starting with the Sport S trim. Adaptive cruise control is available on the Sport S and higher trims. Additional safety options include blind-spot monitoring across most trims. The Rubicon model adds a front-facing camera to assist with off-road navigation. Safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for the 2025 model year are still pending.
