Engine (Power)
The 2024 Ram 2500 features two powerful engine options. The standard 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque with a bed capacity of 4,000 pounds. The available 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I-6 engine generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque and can tow up to 19,900 pounds.
Performance
This heavy-duty truck offers a smooth ride with is auto-level rear air suspension and simplifies reversing with cargo using trailer reverse steering control. The gas engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel engine uses a six-speed automatic transmission. Both transmissions feature advanced controls for quick and quiet gear shifts. The HEMI V-8 engine achieves 12 mpg city and 18 mpg highway fuel economy, while the diesel engine delivers 14 mpg city and 17 mpg highway. The Ram 2500's large fuel tank allows for extended range, making it suitable for long trips and demanding tasks.
Interior
